Global Montessori School is an infant-toddler, early childhood and elementary education centre offering Montessori learning programs and child care services. Children are encouraged to develop their total personality at their own pace and within their individual growth and educational styles, laying the foundation for a lifetime of creative learning and promise.
This location offers child care and Montessori education for babies to Grade 7. Our school is known as Langley Montessori children center and is curently operetional for 24 years under global Montessori schools.
The Preschool, Montessori Child Care & Full Day Kindergarten Program is a multi-age three year cycle which includes children ages two and one half through six. Entering students must be three by December 31 and must be fully toilet trained.
Children experience an academically-enriched environment within a well ordered social community. The presence of these two factors is based on the principle that children absorb their environment, language and culture in a way that is unique to this age. Therefore, the rooms in this program are designed to include a variety of both academic and cultural material.
Children also experience their classroom as a place where they can develop socially. They are free to move about the classroom and relate to other children in conversation and in their play. The teachers show genuine respect to each child. The children, in turn, model this behaviour in their social interactions.
Global Montessori School
The three-year developmental cycle is at the very heart of the Montessori educational experience for our children at Global Montessori School. It is what assures our children such success and it is one of the features that distinguishes our educational program from others. Curriculum development, staffing, classroom design, and student admission, re-enrollment, and placement all revolve around it. It drives the educational continuum (our academic scope and sequence), determines materials purchased and placed in the classrooms, and defines student record keeping, progress, and assessment. It is a clearly-defined and discrete educational unit with a beginning, a middle, and an end for each child, with the third year in each sequence a capstone year that is a culminating experience academically, emotionally, socially, and developmentally. If not followed, a child’s work in that three-year sequence is simply incomplete. It is it at the core of all that we do.
